FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do my press-on nails keep popping off?

If your press-on nails keep popping off, it is not automatically your prep, glue, or application.

A lot of the time, it is your nail bed shape.

Most press-on nails are made for natural or sculpted nail beds. If you have flat nail beds, those curved press-ons do not sit flush. They create gaps, lifting, and early pop-offs.

That is why I create custom press-on nails for flat nail beds without sacrificing art and design.

I also make beautiful custom press-on nails for natural nail beds, because everyone deserves nails that fit and look good.

Flat underneath for proper fit. Sculpted on top for that apex.

What are flat nail beds, and how do I know if I have them?

Flat nail beds are natural nails that do not have much curve from side to side.

This has nothing to do with finger size.

You can have skinny fingers and flat nail beds. You can have wider fingers and curved nail beds. Your fingers are not the problem. Your nail bed shape is.

You can tell your nail beds are flat if:

  • Press-ons lift at the sides
  • Press-ons feel tight in the center but loose at the edges
  • Press-ons pop off even with good prep
  • Standard press-ons do not sit flush
  • Curved tips feel like they are fighting your natural nail shape

If this sounds familiar, welcome. You are probably one of my Flatty Baddies.

Do you only make press-on nails for flat nail beds?

No.

I specialize in custom press-on nails for flat nail beds, especially for people who struggle with lifting, gaps, and nails popping off.

I also create sets for natural nail beds.

Flatty Baddies are my specialty, but natural nail girls are welcome too. I do not discriminate. Cute nails for everyone.

What makes your press-on nails different?

These are custom press-on nails created for your nail bed shape.

For flat nail beds, the base needs to sit flatter so it actually makes contact with your natural nail. The top still needs structure, shape, and style because flat fit does not mean flat-looking nails.

Each set is created with:

  • Custom sizing
  • Your nail bed shape in mind
  • Flat underneath for proper fit
  • Sculpted on top for that apex
  • Art and design included

I make great press-ons at a reasonable flat rate, with custom sizing, beautiful nail art, and actual thought behind the fit.

You do not have to choose between nails that fit and nails that look good. This is not 1998 dial-up. We have options now.

Why do you only offer short, medium, and long? What shapes do you offer?

Because I make nails for adults who still need to function.

My clients need to text, type, drive, work, open snacks, pull up their pants, and wipe their butt without needing a support team.

Short, medium, and long keeps it functional.

I offer:

  • Square
  • Almond
  • Coffin

Available in:

  • Short
  • Medium
  • Long

Gorgeous. Cute. Functional. We are not building eagle talons for a fantasy villain unless I say otherwise.

Why are shapes and lengths limited?

Because fit comes first.

The tips I use have to work for the nail bed shape. Offering every trendy shape and extreme length sounds fun, but if the base is wrong, the nails lift, gap, or pop off.

Going too long is also a major culprit for lifting and popping off. Extra length creates more pressure and leverage on the nail, which weakens the bond faster.

I would rather offer fewer options that actually make sense than a giant menu of chaos.

Because let’s be honest, if I sell you a shape or length that I know is fighting your nail bed shape, and then they pop off, somehow I’m getting blamed. And I am too Gen X for that.

How does the sizing process work?

After checkout, you will receive a confirmation email.

You must reply to that email with your sizing information and design inspiration before I begin your order.

New clients must send 4 sizing photos:

  • Left hand
  • Left thumb
  • Right hand
  • Right thumb

Each photo must be taken:

  • From directly above
  • With your hand or thumb flat on a hard surface
  • With a nickel, dime, or quarter next to your nails
  • With the coin on the same surface and level as your nails

No angled photos.
No side views.
No blurry photos.

Returning clients can reply to the confirmation email and say:

  • Use my previous sizing

You can also send updated sizing photos if your nails have changed, if the last fit needs adjusting, or if you want to be extra sure.

Returning clients still need to send inspiration photos for the new set. I know your size, not your current nail fantasy.

Clear photos help me size your custom press-on nails as accurately as possible.

What kind of inspiration photos should I send, and will my nails look exactly like them?

Send anything that helps me understand the vibe.

You can send:

  • Nail photos
  • Screenshots
  • Pinterest photos
  • Color palettes
  • Themes
  • Outfit inspiration

Inspiration photos are used as inspiration only. Exact duplication is not guaranteed.

Each set is handmade, so colors, finishes, placement, and details will vary.

Colors also look different because of lighting, screen settings, device displays, and photo editing.

I create a set inspired by your photos, not a copy-and-paste factory situation.

What is included with my order?

Each set includes:

  • Custom press-on nail set
  • Alcohol prep wipe
  • Curve Life solid nail glue, no UV light required
  • Nail buffer
  • Plastic nail stick
  • Cuticle oil
  • Free U.S. shipping

Everything you need to get started, minus patience. You have to bring that yourself.

Is glue included?

Yes.

Each set includes Curve Life solid nail glue that does not require a UV light.

I include glue because I want your set to come with the basics needed for application. The glue is solid, thicker, and works well for many people because it helps fill small spaces between your natural nail and the press-on.

That said, not all glues are created equal, and not everyone’s body chemistry is the same.

The included glue is a good middle-of-the-road option. I do not guarantee exact wear time. If you already have a nail glue that works well for you, use it.

My personal favorite glue is Dashing Diva Fast Bond, but it is not included because it is not available in small sizes.

Glue is personal. Like bangs. What works for one person ruins another person’s week.

How do I apply my press-on nails?

  • Start with clean, dry nails.
  • Gently push back your cuticles with the plastic nail stick.
  • Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails.
  • Wipe each nail with the alcohol prep wipe.
  • Dehydrator and primer are also recommended for better adhesion, especially if your nails are oily or you struggle with lifting.
  • Make sure your nails are completely dry before applying.
  • Apply a small amount of glue to your natural nail, focusing more toward the free edge than the cuticle area.
  • Add a small dab of glue near the base of the press-on nail.
  • Place the press-on nail at a 45 degree angle near the cuticle area, then slowly press it down into place.
  • Press firmly and hold for 30 to 60 seconds.
  • If glue squeezes out, wipe it away right away with the plastic nail stick before it sets.
  • Avoid water for at least 1 to 4 hours after application. Longer is better.
  • Optional but helpful: use clear nail clips to hold the nails down while the glue sets.

How do I remove my press-on nails?

Do not rip them off. Ever.

Removal depends on what you used to apply them.

If you used the included Curve Life glue, use Curve Life remover.

Follow the remover instructions carefully and give it time to work. Do not force the nails off.

If you used a base gel or peel-off base like Jello Jello, use Jello Jello One Shot Kill remover.

I love that removal method, but everyone’s nails and body chemistry are different. What works beautifully for one person does not automatically work for everyone.

Can I reuse my press-on nails?

Yes, your press-on nails are reusable with proper removal and care.

The cleaner the removal, the better chance you have of reusing the set.

Avoid ripping, bending, or forcing the nails off. Glue residue should be removed gently.

Treat them like tiny art, not old price tags.

Are all sets the same price?

Yes.

All sets are flat rate because the value is in the fit, structure, customization, and handmade design process, not a complicated nail art level system.

The design changes. The fit process does not.

No “level 1, level 2, deluxe premium glitter tax” nonsense.

Do you accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations?

No.

All sales are final due to the custom nature of each set.

Each set is custom sized and made to order based on your nail bed shape, sizing photos, selected length, shape, and design inspiration.

Orders cannot be canceled once work has started. Because every set is custom, I start reviewing sizing, inspiration, and materials specifically for your order.

Once it is made for you, it is yours. Once the tiny nail wheels are in motion, we are moving forward.
